I had a  sense these beautiful snapdragons had a message to tell.

But I sat and sat, searched and searched the meaning to no avail.

Nothing seemed right.

And as soon as I felt I could think and search no more,

instantly I remembered this book tucked away on my shelf.

Though I could not have told you the title,

I saw the book so clearly in my thoughts.

I rose, opened the bookcase, and pulled this book from its sleep.

I looked at the title and it read, "Dragons guard the zoo".

I happened upon the author years and years ago when my children were still children.

We were in one of our favorite places, the zoo.

This beautiful lady was sitting with her books. We walked over and she smiled and looked straight into my eyes, and said, "This poem is for you".

She quickly turned to the page and handed me the book.

I realize now, this poem was not just meant for me, but for you too.

It's good to have a dream,

and I also think it is true,

That if you believe in your dream,

Then your dream will believe in you.

Snapdragons have been grown throughout the centuries for protection.

In Medieval times, these blooms were believed to be guardians of castles and were planted right outside their gates.

May these snapdragons guard and protect our dreams. ❤️

This collection is meant to be nestled on a bookshelf beside your favorite novel, lounging on a mantle,  tucked by your bedside, gathered amongst others on a wall, or sleeping in a quiet nook. Place them where your eye will catch them daily, whether it's a glance, a nod, a gaze, a wink, or they stop you mid-stride. I want you to be reminded daily of their message...

Guard your dreams, my dear.

Believe in them and they will believe in you. ❤️
